His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa Visits Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, France

To prepare for the presence of the Gyalwa Karmapa, the Dhagpo Lamas performed the Gyalwa Gyamtso practice (Red Tchenrezi) during five days. His Holiness took part in the ritual on the last day of the accumulation. Afterwards, about a thousand people attended a three-day teaching on the 37 Practices of Bodhisattva. Karmapa Thaye Dorje also granted two empowerments, that of White Tchenrezi and White Tara. The event was covered by television, radio and newspaper, as it came close to the Dalai Lama’s visit in France: the first national channel, TF1, as well as a regional TV, France 3, came to meet the Karmapa and gave a very accurate and positive account of the visit of His Holiness. There was also coverage on France Info and France Bleu Perigord. On the mornings, Khenpo Choedrag Rinpoche gave very inspiring teachings on the Sutra on the Wisdom that the Bodhisattva Cultivates at the Moment of Death (Atyajnanasutra).
