Karmapa’s address commemorating Gandhi’s birthday 2016

Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, marked the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday with an address which honoured his dedication to a life of non-violence, peace and compassion.  The Karmapa said Gandhi showed us by his example that we can take on enormous responsibilities while living a simple life of excellence with great patience and courage.

I celebrate Gandhi-ji with the nation of India,” said Karmapa “and everyone around the world, for I have immense appreciation for his example.”
