Shamar Rinpoche’s Kudung ceremonies in Kalimpong
1st of July the Kudung of Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche arrived from New Delhi to Bagdogra Airport. With the procession it was transported to Diwakar Buddhist Academy in Kalimpong. Every day took place extensive rituals and pujas. His Holiness Karmapa with Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche led Kudung ceremonies at Diwakar Buddhist Academy main shrine hall. In a big tent beside Gyalwa Karmapa’s residency Rumtek monks prayed every day. On 27th of July Kudung ceremonies at Diwakar Buddhist academy were finished and Shamar Rinpoches’s mortal remains continued its jurney to Bhutan and later on to final place of cremation – Kathmandu.
