His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa receives Mr Shiah ’s group
In the afternoon of January 17 Gyalwa Karmapa held a private audience for Mr Shiah Jing Shan and a large group of the latter’s family members and followers.
Mr Shiah was a devoted follower and sponsor of the late 16th Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje. Ever since the recognition of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa by the 14th Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche, Mr. Shiah has been a staunch supporter of Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje, and has come to pay his respects to him on numerous occasions.

A dharma teacher in his own right, as well as a master of painting and feng shui, Mr. Shiah himself has a large following of students in China. Despite the fact that the Chinese New Year is approaching and that everyone is very busy with preparations for this most important of traditional Chinese holidays, Mr. Shiah took the time to come to Hong Kong to meet with His Holiness Karmapa and participate in the public programme. He was accompanied by several members of his family, as well as a large group of his followers.
