Gyalwa Karmapa visits Karma Kagyu Sangha in Vienna, Austria

The Karma Kagyu center in Vienna was founded 1982. Under the spiritual guidance of Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche many Karma Kagyu teachers were invited to take care of the practitioners. The center is a founding member of the Austrian Buddhist Society, which was officially recognised by the government 1983.

In December 1997 Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche appointed Khenpo Chodrag Rinpoche as the head of the study and meditation program of Karma Kagyu Sangha.
