His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa Visits the Dharmazentrum Moehra, Germany

On Tuesday, the 26th of August 2008, the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje visited the Dharmazentrum Moehra, Germany, for the second time. His Holiness was warmly welcomed by an offering of 17 fire-balloons.
The official program took place in the Krayenberghalle in Tiefenort, seven km from the centre, the next day. About 400 people came to join the teachings, giving of refuge vows and bodhisattva-promise, and the Avalokiteshvara empowerment of the Gyalwa Karmapa.

More than 3,000 practitioners from 51 countries gathered at the 16thInternational Summer Course to receive teachings and empowerments from H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje. For the first time the course took place in Southern Germany, at the recently established Europe Centre.

His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa Visits the Bodhi Path Center in Renchen-Ulm, Germany

On Friday, the 15th of August 2008, the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinlay Thaye Dorje, accompanied by his brother Sonam Tsemo Rinpoche, Trehor Lama Thubten and an entourage of senior monks, arrived at the Bodhi Path centre Renchen-Ulm, Germany, where he was warmly welcomed. It was for the first time that the spiritual head of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism paid a visit to the centre, which he immediately began with a short ceremony and a tour of the building, blessing all the rooms.

His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa Visits Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, France

To prepare for the presence of the Gyalwa Karmapa, the Dhagpo Lamas performed the Gyalwa Gyamtso practice (Red Tchenrezi) during five days. His Holiness took part in the ritual on the last day of the accumulation.
