On the 6th of August His Holiness visited Karma Shedrub Tschoepel Ling, a quite new dharma center only 2 hours to drive from Kassel. Embed between fields and forests in a gentle hilly area, the dharma center in Moehra can be found on top of a hill

His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa visits Kassel, Germany

The last week of His Holiness’ summer tour 2007 in Europe started in Germany near Kassel. Since 1993, the annual summer course of the diamondway centers is held in a scout camp in Immenhausen. With the help of hundreds of hands from all over the world, the area was changed into a huge camp for Buddhist practitioners that could host more than 5000 people.

On the evening of the 16th His Holiness gave a pith teaching on Karma along with the bodhisattva promise and an oral transmission of The Mahamudra Prayer, which he said contained a condensed method to the key of unlocking the nature of mind.

His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa visits Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, France

On the 12th of July, 2007 His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje began his program at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling in Dordogne, France. Known for the famous prehistoric cave paintings of Lascaux, history of another type has been made here in Dordogne.

His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa visits Helsinki, Finland

For the first time in the many lives of the Karmapas, the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje makes a historic visit to Helsinki, Finland on the 12th of June, 2007. Though only for a single day and two nights, His Holiness made the most of his visit to Helsinki, which included television news coverage and newspaper reports.
